Appointment Policy

To allow ample time for all patients and scheduled surgical procedures, we operate primarily by appointment. Emergency cases shall always receive top priority, which is why occasional appointment delay is inevitable. Please realize that we make a sincere attempt to see each client on time. Walk in appointments will be seen between scheduled appointments by the first available doctor. ALL emergencies take priority.

Patient Arrival Policy

Please arrive 15 minutes before your pet’s scheduled drop off for surgery so you will have time to fill out forms. Admission time is from 7:30 am – 8:30 am. Drop off for the next day’s surgery is available from 4:00 pm – 5:30 pm Monday – Thursday (no surgeries on Saturday). Please make arrangements in advance for evening drop offs.

We understand that sometimes appointments must be rescheduled and, or canceled. Should this be necessary, please call at least 30 minutes in advance so someone else can have your appointment time.

If you will be late for your appointment, please call as soon as you know so the appointment schedule can be rearranged or we can reschedule you for a later time or date. If you arrive 10 minutes late or later than your scheduled appointment time, you will be required to wait for the next available doctor, or for the next available appointment time with your preferred doctor.

For your protection and that of others, all dogs must be on a leash and properly controlled while in the waiting area or exam rooms.

All cats must be presented in an appropriate cat carrier or on a leash.

Drop Off Appointments

For your convenience, drop-off’ appointments are available. A ‘drop off’ means you could bring your pet at the time that works best for you, and leave him/her with us for a couple of hours or the day. Usually we will ask you to drop off’ sometime in the morning so our doctors can examine the patient in between appointments or at the time purposely reserved for admitted patients. Once the doctor is done, he or she will give you a call to go over the diagnosis and to give you discharge instructions. If you have a choice of doctors please specify at time of drop off.


For the safety of all animals in our care, we require that all vaccinations be up to date. Even though we make every effort to make our patients feel comfortable during visits, they may be a little uneasy about new people, new surroundings and other pets. This is one of the reasons we ask you to restrain your pet. We recommend that animals be placed on a leash or in pet carriers before entering the waiting room.

Payment Policy

We require full payment at the time that services are rendered. We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience, but we do not invoice clients or insurance companies for services provided or products purchased. You must pay for all services provided and products purchased at the end of your visit.

We take all major credit cards, debit cards, money orders, cash, CareCredit, ScratchPay, and checks (checks are accepted on the day shift only). The CitiHealth Card is no longer taken.
